Scrimmage, AstraZeneca Win Prestigious 2019 Chief Learning Officer Partnership Award
Minneapolis, MN – Chief Learning Officer magazine, a publication of Human Capital Media, has announced the winners of its 2019 Learning In Practice Awards with Scrimmage being the recipient of a prestigious Silver Award in the Excellence in Partnership category on the Provider side. Winners were recognized during a special awards luncheon on October 14th during the Fall CLO Symposium in Chicago. Representing the Scrimmage team, Katie Burke, Account Manager, Nate Kahl, VP of Client Experience, and Sharon Steeley, VP, Marketing & Communications, accepted the award.
2019 marked the 17th anniversary of the awards program, honoring learning industry leaders who have demonstrated excellence in the design and delivery of employee development programs through a combination of qualities such as leadership, vision, business acumen and strategic alignment. Judges selected the winners from over 150 submitted nominations.
This year’s winners included executives and industry-leading learning companies from across the United States, as well as international finalists from Canada, Denmark, England, France, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
“The Learning In Practice awards are a benchmark for enterprise learning and development,” said Ashley St. John, managing editor at Human Capital Media. “There was a competitive set of nominations this year, and the group of winners are among the best of the best in the L&D space.”
The Partnership Award recognizes Scrimmage and its global pharmaceutical client, AstraZeneca. The Oncology Training & Development department partnered with Scrimmage to create a modern learning technology experience for 1,600 learners that translated into 98 percent engagement, 50 percent shorter time to sales readiness and an initial $1.35M+ in cost savings, particularly due to new mobile, administrative and back-end efficiencies.
All winners, including the CLO of the Year, were featured in the December 2019 issue of the Chief Learning Officer magazine.
