I recently came across this quote again on an extremely hectic day. It actually made me stop, think about it…and fully integrate the message. As a student of philosophy, I know I’ve heard/read it before – but on this particular day and ever since, it has stayed with me.
It may be because it is a quote from Benjamin Franklin, (now living in Philly, he is quite relevant). It may be because he wrote it over 250 years ago in 1758 – yet, it applies just as much today, in 2016. It may be because it is from his book, The Way to Wealth, which sounds like the perfect read for any aspiring, or determined entrepreneur and businessperson. Whatever the exact reason, how true it is!
Curiosity and Investing in New Knowledge are critically important, and for the companies I lead and support we make this a priority.
Knowledge empowers you - as a person, as an employee, and as a contributor. It is also exciting, as there is always something new to learn. “Be Curious” is a great motto, and one that I make an effort to live every day. We were always curious as kids, and we should be as adults too. Curiosity and Investing in New Knowledge are critically important, and for the companies I lead and support we make this a priority.
